President’s Message
As we reflect on another meaningful week in Rotary, we are reminded of the impact we can make when we come together in service and fellowship. From the projects and connections we shared over the past several days to the continued momentum building across our club, it’s clear that the spirit of “Service Above Self” is alive and well here in Rabun County.
We are also proud to share that the Rotary Club of Clayton was recently voted Best Civic Organization in this past week’s Clayton Tribune—a true testament to the dedication of our members and the generosity of this community.

This week, we are especially excited to welcome District 6910 Governor Jessica Fleetwood to our meeting—a wonderful opportunity to showcase the strength of our club, celebrate our accomplishments, and gain inspiration for the work ahead.
Let’s make it a great week of Rotary!

The District 6910 Governor (DG) serves as Rotary International’s official representative for our district, providing leadership, guidance, and support to all Rotary clubs within District 6910.
At a high level, the Governor’s role includes:
- Supporting Clubs: Helping clubs like ours operate effectively, grow membership, and strengthen service impact
- Setting Direction: Promoting Rotary International’s goals, priorities, and initiatives across the district
- Club Visits: Visiting each club during the year to offer encouragement, share updates, and recognize achievements

Service Above Self
On a cold and rainy Saturday morning, the spirit of Rotary was on full display as 20 Rotarians and Interactors came together to serve at Rabun Gap Presbyterian Church.
Thanks to their dedication and willingness to show up, we were able to provide food to 142 households, impacting 475 individuals with enough groceries to last several weeks. Moments like these are a powerful reminder of what we can accomplish when we put service above self.
This meaningful outreach takes place on the third Saturday of every month, and all are encouraged to participate.
Bring your gloves, a willing heart, and start your weekend making a difference in our community.

In addition, 5 Rotarians stepped up this past Wednesday to support the Foxfire Cleanup D
ay. They pulled on gloves and worked to remove debris left behind from the recent ice storm that impacted so many across Rabun County. Their efforts helped restore parts of our community and demonstrated Rotary’s commitment to being there when it matters most.
