President’s Message
As we move into the heart of June, we are reminded that service is the foundation of strong communities.
This past week was a highlight for the Rotary Club of Clayton as we recognized members of our community who have demonstrated an extraordinary commitment to serving others. We also honored the first responders who sacrifice so much to keep our families, homes, and businesses safe. Their dedication reflects Rotary's motto, Service Above Self, and serves as an inspiration to all of us.
As we reflect on the anniversary of D-Day, we remember the courage and selflessness of those who stormed the beaches of Normandy in defense of freedom. Their legacy of service before self continues to inspire us today. We are grateful for all those—past and present—who dedicate themselves to something greater than themselves. ... See MoreSee Less

❤️ Sound the Alarm. Save a Life.
This year’s Sound the Alarm campaign was held in memory of Rachel Thorn, whose tragic loss in a fire without a working smoke detector inspired a mission to help protect others from experiencing the same heartbreak.
The Rotary Club of Clayton, Georgia, joined forces with the American Red Cross and Rabun County Fire Services, with more than 26 Rotarians, family members, and community volunteers coming together to make a difference.
Together, we canvassed more than 200 homes, installed and tested 57 smoke alarms in 15 households, and helped make 33 lives safer through fire safety education and emergency preparedness.
A special thank you to Elizabeth Gill and every volunteer who gave their time, compassion, and service to help keep our community safe. Your efforts are making a difference—one home, one family, and one life at a time.
Rachel’s legacy continues to save lives. ❤️

🌟 Making a Difference, One Act of Service at a Time! 🌟
Yesterday was a wonderful example of Rotary’s motto, Service Above Self.
Our Rotary Club of Clayton members spent the day serving our community through our Free Shredding Event, helping residents safely dispose of sensitive documents while protecting against identity theft. Thank you to everyone who came out and participated!
At the same time, the impact continues with RYLA (Rotary Youth Leadership Awards) at Tallulah Falls School. These outstanding young leaders are learning valuable leadership skills, building friendships, and preparing to make a positive difference in their schools and communities.
From serving our neighbors to investing in the next generation of leaders, Rotary is proud to be making an impact both today and tomorrow.
💙 Thank you to our volunteers, community supporters, and the incredible students participating in RYLA. Together, we are truly Uniting for Good!

Service. Fellowship. Impact.
Yesterday’s Rotary Club of Clayton meeting featured Patti Duckworth of the American Red Cross, who shared the importance of the upcoming Sound the Alarm smoke detector installation project happening Saturday.
We also promoted RYLA, Rotary’s premier youth leadership program, and reminded everyone about today’s Free Community Shredding Event at the Rabun County Civic Center from 11 AM–1 PM.
Making our community safer, stronger, and better—one project at a time. Come see what Rotary is all about!
