💙💛 Meet Your Officers & Directors!

This Friday, we’re introducing Brooke Teague Cannon, Public Image Director for the Rotary Club of Clayton!

Brooke has been a Rotarian since 2023. One of her favorite Rotary projects is cooking at the Rabun County Wildcats football games. It’s a fun way to serve Wildcat Nation and support the team she loves! 🏈

For Brooke, one of the best parts of Rotary has been the friendships. From her very first meeting, she felt welcomed and included, and Rotary has given her the opportunity to build relationships with people she may never have met otherwise.

When it comes to Service Above Self, Brooke believes service is about empowering and encouraging others, a value deeply rooted in her faith in Jesus Christ. Whether it’s serving through a community project or simply taking the time to invest in one person, she believes even the smallest acts of service can make a lasting impact. 💛

A few fun facts about Brooke: She’s one of fewer than 10 members of our club who was born and raised right here in Rabun County, she loves Wildcats football, and if it’s summertime, you can find her somewhere soaking up the sun! ☀️

We’re thankful to have Brooke serving on our leadership team and helping share the story of Rotary in our community!

💛 Everyone is invited to attend

This Thursday, the Rotary Club of Clayton is honored to welcome Cammie Wolf Rice, mother, advocate, author, and agent for change.

After losing her son at age 32 following his long battle with opioid misuse, Cammie chose to turn her pain into purpose. Today, she is dedicated to raising awareness about the opioid epidemic and advocating for alternative pain management strategies.

Her story is one of loss, purpose, and creating change—and we hope you’ll join us to hear it.

💙💛 Meet Your Leadership: Susie Howard

Meet Susie Howard, Secretary of the Rotary Club of Clayton!

Susie joined Rotary in February 2025 and became Chairperson of Family of Rotary in July 2025. Now serving as Secretary, she brings a career in Human Resources, Leadership Development & Succession Planning to our leadership team.

🦷 Her favorite Rotary projects are the Dental and Denture Clinics. “Seeing how what we do changes lives for the better makes my heart full.” She also loves our social events and the opportunity to relax and enjoy time together as a club.

What Susie enjoys most about Rotary is seeing the impact of both our local and international projects and working side by side with other dedicated volunteers. To her, Service Above Self is about taking care of others—whether that means smoke detectors, Special Olympics, fighting food scarcity, environmental cleanup, or simply doing what is best for our neighbors and community.

🤿 Fun fact: Susie and her husband, Jeff, have been married for 27 years. Their son Nicholas, 26, works in cybersecurity, and their daughter Kayla, 23, is starting vet school this fall. The whole family loves to scuba dive, and the kids have been diving since they were 10!

We’re proud to have Susie as part of our Rotary leadership and helping us Create Lasting Impact! 💙💛
